Helmsley Spice

Being asked to add a woman's touch to a local Indian restaurant was intriguing. The restaurant is in an old building with original beams and large windows overlooking the market place. The owners wanted to update the restaurant without changing the tables and chairs.
I was able to change the colours and the carpeting as well as add fabulous artwork, lighting ( including a variety of lanterns) and mirrors along with a fabulous log holders. A window seat was enhanced with cushions and new table mats, salt and pepper sets were added to each table in little baskets.
The cloakrooms were updated with new lights and mirrors after they were painted. New male and female signs were added to the doors and art work added the finishing touch.
The front of the restaurant had red shutters and red window boxes as well as red windows! They are now a deep grey complimented by a deep cream. Adding hanging baskets has completed the outside transformation.
